Guilty!
“Yer h0nor, the jury has reached a verdict: We the jury find Gmail Tasks Guilty of being like buttah! We ask, if it please the court, that Gmail be punished with excessive use given its flagrant act of deliciousness by enabling SMS in GTalk during the same week it drops the long-awaited and much-anticipated incorpration of a ToDo list in its supa-fwine email client.”

This photo of Bjork? Yeah, there’s is literally no reason whatsoever for it to be in this post other than the fact that I like it and wanted to use it. I prefer to read blog posts that have some visual element to them, even better if it pertains to the story. Hey, one out of two, right? It’s what I like to see, it’s what I like to give.
Anyhoo, earlier today I changed the name of the Blogger version of Hambric’s Curve to Hambric’s Curve Gets Round in honor of my decision to start posting pics I shoot with my phone while I’m, well, out and about , round and about, if you will. (Full disclosure: This pic of Bjork was not shot by me or on my phone.) Maybe I should edit the name change from ‘Round and About’ to ‘Out and About.’ Or I could just get on with the point of this post, which is to draw attention to the fact that the World Wide Web is currently hosting two versions of Hambric’s Curve: this one, and the ‘Round and About’ version on the Blogger platform. Yeah! I know! Right?
Why? Well, the as-brief-as-I-can-make-it-answer-at-this-point-in-my-wine-consumption-this-evening is that there are aspects of each platform that make both desirable to use and as well as pains in the a$$. It’s on days like this that I miss the paid WordPress.org platform, but not enough to cough up the dough to get it back. At least, not until I’ve heard back on my application to Paulson’s Treasury for a bit of ‘Teh Splurge.’
So, the point of this post and its gratuitous use of Bjork? To let you know there is another version of Hambric’s Curve that’ll I’ll use to post brief posts with pics from my phone while I’m out and about in DC, including during Inauguration Week.

A single act of carelessness...
The “community” of which I may have brought shame is not one based on race, nationality, religion or sexual orientAsian. No, this community is simultaneously more broad based and narrowly focused (I just totally freaked you out with that ‘broad yet narrow’ thing! I know! Right?). Yes, I’m talking about an on-line community! (HA HA! Nerd!)
I was notified this AM that My Blog Log automatically added Hambric’s Curve to the DISGRASIAN(TM) My Blog Log community because Yahoo! tracked (creepy fuckers) my repeated visits to one of the best places to visit on the web [that would be DISGRASIAN for my slower reader(s)]. My initial thought was “Cool, I like DISGRASIAN.” The notification e-mail also included a link to the DISGRASIAN’s My Blog Log page, which I visited and learned that I was not only the Newest Member, but also the first member! Let that sink in for a moment. These two wonderful, creative, word-smithy ladies finally set up the My Blog Log account for their site and the first member is some shit-bag “blogger.” I imagine their respective week-ends are now ruined and they both have ‘teh sadz.’

- Let’s Ride!
I’d just like to apologize to DISGRASIAN and its fine creators on behalf of the Hambric’s Curve staff and management (collectively referred to as “me”) for bringing to your beautiful corner of the Web such an unfortunate association. But really, it’s not my fault. If DISGRASIAN wasn’t so damn awesome, I wouldn’t need have to visit it so often and My Blog Log would never have known. So you see, just like Obama, DISGRASIAN is too awesome for its own good.
Cheers, Mgt.

Hambric’s Curve has found a new home more in line with America’s new Hobo lifestyle, as visually characterized in the accompanying photo of blueness and clouds. Get it? Blue? Clouds? Teh sadz?
Long story short, I’ve converted from the self-hosted version of WordPress to the free, WordPress-hosted version of the site. The obvious benefits of this move are (1) I don’t have to keep hitting the Gym of the Internet to bulk up my geek muscles to take care of the behind-the-curtain necessities of running a site; and (2), this shit’s free. FREE!!! WHOOOOOO!!!
So now all I have to do is convince Hank Paulson to Buy My Shitpile and I’ll be swimming in it like Tony Bennett!
